Hello, I'm Jane (McKay), the heart and soul behind McKay & Co Florist nestled in the charming suburb of Fendalton, Christchurch. Since our establishment in 2015, I've been dedicated to crafting exquisite floral arrangements for various occasions.
From stunning wedding bouquets to heartfelt Mother's Day gestures, elegant School Formal Corsages & Buttonholes, and touching Funeral Flowers, each creation is infused with care and creativity. Now, I'm thrilled to extend our offerings by bringing the beauty of floral design directly to you through our workshops, hosted at your own venue.
At McKay & Co Florist, we believe in supporting local communities, which is why we source our flowers and foliage from nearby growers whenever possible. This not only ensures freshness but also fosters a sense of connection and sustainability.
My approach to floristry is all about creating relaxed, yet stunning arrangements that capture the essence of your vision. I find joy in bringing people's dreams to life through flowers, whether it's a vibrant bouquet or an elegant centerpiece.
As for my favourite flower, it's undoubtedly the violet. As a child, I was once ill, and my Nan brought me a vase of violets. The uplifting scent left an indelible mark on my heart, symbolizing love and care. To me, receiving a bunch of freshly picked violets is a heartfelt gesture, as each tiny flower is picked with love and intention.

Working with the theme of Canterbury the garden city with a Te Ao Maori aspect to interwine Te Ao Maori and Pakeha cultures.
