Introducing myself, Jane (McKay), the founder of McKay & Co Florist in Fendalton, Christchurch
McKay & Co Florist was established in 2015 since then I have been providing fabulous wedding flowers, Mother's Day flowers, School Formal Corsages & Buttonholes, School End of Year Presentation Flowers, Funeral Flowers and now offering workshops at your own venue. I buy locally grown flowers and foliage when possible supporting small local businesses.
I have my own relaxed floristry style and love making peoples visions come alive.
What’s my favourite flower and why?
Violets, when I was a little girl and sick my Nan brought me a vase of Violets. The smell was so uplifting and a scent I will forever love. When you are given a bunch of freshly picked violets you know they come from the heart as the picker has taken the time to pick each tiny flower just for you.

McKay and Co went the extra mile to support discussion around the theme of our strategic direction event providing advice on decorating the venue, looking at videos to understand the space. Working with the theme of Canterbury the garden city with a Te Ao Maori aspect to interwine Te Ao Maori and Pakeha cultures.
